On Saturday, June 1, 2024 we will organize the Go Green Market in Reinkenstraat in The Hague. An inspiring and pleasant market about green, sustainable living and living. Full of activities, actions and music. Info and inspiration about food, clothing, repair, reuse, plants, insulation, energy and much more!

Program

There are many fun, educational and enjoyable things to do at the Go Green Market. The activities are continuous, unless otherwise stated:

  • Revamp your torn jeans at a workshop at De Naaierij (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
  • Deliver reusable materials to the Spullenbak (check what you can hand in at Spullenbak.nl)
  • Come and exchange plant cuttings at the Stekjesbieb (Cuttings Library)
  • Shop sustainable gifts from local entrepreneurs
  • Buy the organic products van Rechtstreex and Land van Ons
  • Speed date with an energy coach from Duurzaam Duinoord and ask all your questions about energy savings.
  • Talk to the VVE desk to get tips about sustainability within a VVE


Especially for our young visitors:

  • Collect as much cork as possible, hand it in at the Spullenbak and have a chance to win a great prize.
  • Participate in the Vuiljut challenge
  • Draw your Dream Neighborhood
  • Come play shuffleboard, checkers and chess

  • Earth Kweek: A green roof based on cork.
  • Groen Duinoord: Information and inspiration about greening and climbing plants
  • AVN: is committed to nature, greenery and trees in The Hague and surrounding areas. We hand out copies of our beautiful magazine Haagwinde and sell the last book by recently deceased active local resident Jaap Loenen: More trees and shrubs. (We have a limited number of magnifying glasses for children.) Our booklet Ode to nature in The Hague... by artists contains illustrations that are also attractive to expats.
  • Land of Ons: Information about the citizen cooperative for the restoration of landscape and biodiversity.
  • Bij Marei : nice annual and perennial plants that are good for our insects.

  • De Naaierij (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.): Clothing repair workshop from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Bring your broken clothes & you will learn how to repair your own clothes. There is also clothing available to get started with,
